FAQ

What is your editorial philosophy?
Very occasionally there are footnotes or foreign words that we can't faithfully render, but 99% of the time we leave them in, and we go on a long hunt to find the right words to include in Latin, Greek, Hebrew, etc.
We render Latin mostly as it appears in the original text, Greek Scripture as found in the Textus Receptus, and Hebrew Scripture as found in what we'd know as the Masoretic Text.
We promise NEVER to excise for content, that is, never to edit a work in order to practice censorship. To do so would turn us into lords and judges over the works of others. But once a scribe seeks to be the master, he is no longer a faithful servant to the text he is serving.

How do you select the books you choose to retypeset?
We seek to focus on works that we believe are highly valuable, and are in need of re-typesetting. We seek to republish works that are in line with the Westminster Confession of Faith, however we publish from a broad range of both British and continental men from the 16th and 17th century. In addition, we are open to publishing works by contemporary ministry that are in line with the doctrinal beliefs that we cherish.

Who manages your bookstore?
Our bookstore is managed by me, Joseph Weissman. My wife, Jami Weissman, will be the one who typically fulfills orders.
-
Are your books stored in a warehouse, or do you operate a print-on-demand service?
We are a mom-and-pop operation. We currently use print-on-demand services as it allows us to publish books that are not necessarily highly sought after by the masses, yet are very valuable for the health of the church, without the risk of making a financial loss, or having to keep multiple stacks of books around our homestead.
-
Are your hardback books Smyth-sewn or perfect bound?
Currently all our hardback books are perfect bound, but we are looking to introduce Smyth-sewn binding for select future products. Lord-willing, we will be able to do so with some upcoming publications.

How long does it take for my order to ship?
We currently use 3 different printing companies: KDP, IngramSpark, and Lulu. As a result, you may experience differing shipping times, depending on what you order, and you may have multiple deliveries. You will receive an email as soon as your order has shipped.
KDP: These typically arrive within 1-3 business days.
IngramSpark: These books have a printing time and a shipping time. They typically take 1-5 business days to print, and then 5 business days for delivery. Please allow up to 10 business days in total to receive your books.
Lulu: These products typically arrive within 5-7 business days.
If your product has not arrived within these time frames, please contact us so that we can check your order. -
Do you ship internationally?
We generally can ship products within the UK, Canada, and Australia. If you live in a different country, or if you live in one of the aforementioned countries and have not ordered from us before, or you have a question about a product, please get in touch with us.
-
Do you offer homeschool curriculum?
We are currently working on a platform within our website for our Berith Puritan Academy, which will be a supplemental curriculum filled with edifying education material. The Academy will feature videos, downloadable content, recommended books for each course, workbooks, card decks for select courses, and more, Lord-willing.
We hope to have this up and running by August or September 2025.
