A biblical approach to church safety and security that connects practical preparation with the church’s responsibility to care for its people. Pastors, deacons, and those entrusted with congregational safety will find a treatment concerned with both the principles and the practice of this work.
“In the dynamism of a volatile socio-political climate, several metrics continue to rise: irresponsible rhetoric, flaring tempers, normalized (and professionalized) activism, and willingness to perpetrate violence on the peaceful. Those gathered for worship are easy marks, soft targets. Whether you serve in leadership, on the security force, or in another capacity of membership, Jordan Howe moves from principle to plan, so your team knows what to do and how to do it, but the reasoning behind it all, which instills confidence. ‘Those who fail to prepare, prepare to fail,’ so do not let that be you: get multiple copies to train your team. You can become God’s means to keep his people secure, safeguarding your church to ensure safe and orderly worship spaces, to the glory of God.”
— Travis Allen, Pastor and Former Navy SEAL
