Oliver Heywood proclaims from Scripture what even many Reformed Ministers have forgotten, that “…grace comes not by succession, yet oft in succession. The line of covenant-love reaches to many generations; and the more numerous pious predecessors are, the greater is the shower of blessings.” God blesses faithful parenting, and not only the faithfulness of parents, but of grand-parents, great-grandparents, and the faithful ancestors down to the thousandth generation.
